Leave Kandy and travel deeper into Sri Lanka's beautiful central highlands. Royal Botanic Gardens – Peradeniya Explore the magnificent Royal Botanic Gardens of Peradeniya, famous for its tropical plants, orchids, palms and beautifully landscaped grounds. Continue through spectacular mountain scenery and tea-growing country. Ramboda Falls Stop at Ramboda Falls, one of the scenic highlights of the hill country. Ceylon Tea Experience Visit a working tea factory and tea plantation to learn how Sri Lanka's famous Ceylon Tea is cultivated, harvested and produced. Continue to Nuwara Eliya, often called "Little England" because of its cool climate and colonial character. Overnight: Nuwara Eliya Meals: Breakfast

Enjoy a memorable journey through Sri Lanka's spectacular hill country. Scenic Train Journey Travel by train from Nanu Oya to Ella, one of the island's most scenic railway journeys. Pass through rolling tea plantations, misty mountains, forests and picturesque villages. Upon arrival in Ella, enjoy some time to relax and explore the beautiful surroundings. Little Adam's Peak In the evening, take a gentle hike to Little Adam's Peak and enjoy panoramic views over Ella's green valleys and mountains. If train tickets are unavailable, a private vehicle transfer from Nuwara Eliya to Ella can be arranged instead

Continue your journey from the mountains towards Sri Lanka's wildlife-rich southern region. Rawana Falls Stop at the beautiful Rawana Waterfall, surrounded by lush tropical scenery. Buduruwagala Rock Temple Visit Buduruwagala, an ancient Buddhist rock temple featuring impressive carved Buddha figures. Yala National Park Safari In the afternoon or evening, enjoy an exciting 4x4 safari through Yala National Park. Keep your eyes open for Sri Lankan elephants, crocodiles, wild buffalo, deer, birds and, with luck, the park's famous Sri Lankan leopard. Overnight: Tissamaharama / Yala area Meals: Breakfast Optional: Visit the famous Nine Arches Bridge in Ella before leaving the area, depending on time and road conditions.

After breakfast, continue towards Sri Lanka's beautiful southern coastline. Along the way, enjoy the changing scenery as the dry-zone landscape gives way to tropical coastal surroundings. Southern Coastal Experience Arrive in the Mirissa / Weligama area and enjoy some relaxing time by the coast. Local Wildlife Experience Visit a local snake farm and learn about Sri Lanka's fascinating reptile species and their role in the island's ecosystem. Wake early for one of the highlights of your southern coastal adventure. Blue Whale Watching – Mirissa Enjoy a whale-watching excursion from Mirissa Harbour, with opportunities to spot blue whales and other marine life in the waters off Sri Lanka's southern coast. After the excursion, begin your return journey towards Colombo / Negombo or Bandaranaike International Airport. Your memorable 7-day Sri Lankan journey comes to an end.
